A large social mobility study out of Harvard found that access to good, reliable transportation is a huge factor in determining economic mobility. In fact, the relationship between transportation and social mobility is stronger than that of several other factors, like crime, school test scores or the percentage of two-parent families in a community. I'm driven by the conviction that travel is among the most rewarding uses of one's time. Whether it's exploring new places for inspiration, moving to a new city for a chance to build a better life, or taking the kids to a national park to reconnect with nature, travel is required. To that end we're aiming to make it easier, better and more environmentally friendly.
